From raw material to dispatch.

APON FEED is produced at an experienced feed manufacturing partner facility, to formulations and specifications we develop and control. This is the route a batch takes, and what is checked at each point before it moves on.

    Raw material reception

    Incoming fish meal, soybean meal, maize, rice bran and the rest arrive and are logged against the batch they are destined for.

  2. 02

    Raw material testing

    Inputs are held to agreed quality parameters before acceptance. Material that does not meet them does not enter an APON FEED batch.

  3. 03

    Storage

    Accepted raw materials are held in proper storage conditions so that what was approved on arrival is still what is used in production.

  4. 04

    Ingredient preparation

    Grinding and pre-processing bring each input to the particle size the formulation calls for — the step that decides how well the mix behaves later.

  5. 05

    Formulation & mixing

    Weighed to our specification: protein sources, energy sources, vitamins and minerals, amino acids, attractant and binder.

  6. 06

    Extrusion

    The mix is extruded to the pellet size for its grade. Process parameters here are what make a pellet float and hold together in water.

  7. 07

    Drying, oil coating & cooling

    Moisture is brought down, fat is applied, and the pellet is cooled before it can be packed without sweating in the bag.

  8. 08

    Batch quality control

    Protein, fat, fibre, moisture, ash and pellet quality are checked against specification. Release depends on this step, not on schedule.

  9. 09

    Packing & dispatch

    Packed into 10 kg, 20 kg or 35 kg bags depending on grade, then dispatched to the dealer network.

01Intake and distributionA rotary distributor sends each incoming raw material down its own spout to its own storage bin, so nothing is mixed before it is meant to be.

06Micro-ingredient dosingVitamins, minerals and amino acids are dosed from dedicated bins. These are small inclusions, which is exactly why they have to be exact.

08MixingTwin-shaft mixers bring the batch to a uniform blend, so that one bag of a grade is the same as the next.

09Steam conditioningThe mash is heated and moistened with steam before pressing — the step that decides whether a pellet will hold together in water.

10PelletingThe conditioned mash is pressed through a die at the pellet size its grade calls for, from 0.5 mm up to 3 mm.

11CoolingPellets leave the press hot. A counterflow cooler brings them back down before they can be bagged without sweating in the sack.

Why it is made this way

Effort where it changes the product.

Producing at an established facility means APON FEED reaches industrial scale and consistency from day one, rather than spending its first years learning to run a plant.

It also means our own effort goes where it actually changes what a farmer opens: formulation and R&D, the quality parameters every batch is held to, and the relationship with the farms and dealers who tell us how the feed performed.
