Overview
What this grade is for.
A fine mash rather than a pellet, for hatchery tanks and the earliest nursery days when fry cannot yet take a formed particle. It holds the same 42% protein specification as the micro-pellet grades that follow it.
Recommended application. Hatchery tanks and early nursery ponds where mash feeding is the established practice.
- Stage-matched particleSized for the mouth of a fish at the Hatchery / fry stage, so feed is eaten rather than lost.
- 42% proteinHeld to specification batch after batch, not varied to hit a price point.
- Floating pelletFeeding is visible, so the ration can be controlled instead of guessed.
- 10 kg packSized to the daily feeding volume this stage actually consumes.
Specification
What we publish, and what we test.
We publish the figures we hold every batch to. Fat, fibre, moisture and ash are measured on each batch as part of quality control; we do not publish a headline number for them rather than print a figure we cannot stand behind on every bag.
