Assam

Fish feed across Assam.

APON FEED LLP is registered in Guwahati, and Assam is where the company is based. Six grades of floating fish feed cover the whole production cycle, so a pond can stay on one feed from hatchery through to harvest.

Built for Assam's ponds

Our formulations were developed with Indian aquaculture in mind, and for the species farmed here — Pabda, Tengra, Sing, Katla, Rohu and Tilapia. Pellet sizes are matched to the mouth size of each stage, and every grade except the hatchery mash is an extruded floating pellet, so feeding is visible and the ration can be controlled rather than guessed.

The site is published in Assamese as well as Bengali and English. Assam reads both, and a feeding decision is easier to make in the language you think in.

Common questions

What farmers in Assam ask us.

Can I get APON FEED in my district?

Tell us your district and monthly requirement. Where a dealer is already appointed we will put you in touch; where one is not, we will tell you honestly what supply from Guwahati looks like rather than promise a delivery we cannot make.

Which grade should I feed?

Mash at hatchery, Aqua Plus through the nursery, Aqua Shakti across the fingerling stages, Aqua Pro at grower and Aqua Grow to table size. If your pond sits between two stages, send the details and we will advise rather than guess.

Is the feed suitable for Pabda and Tengra?

Yes. The range was developed with these species in mind, along with Sing, Katla, Rohu and Tilapia. Pabda, Tengra and Sing harvest at 25–100 g, so those crops run mash through 2 mm and stop short of the 3 mm grade, which is sized for fish above 100 g.

Can I become a dealer in my district?

Yes — this is how the network is being built. Send your business details through the dealer form and we will discuss your district, terms and expected volume.
